Our Projects: Local Roots, Boundless Horizons

From European cultural exchange to the promotion of culinary and wine excellence, right through to photographic storytelling and spaces for literary reflection, each of our initiatives is a building block designed to foster a more informed, vibrant and engaged Irpinia.

Erasmus+

Over the years, Info Irpinia has promoted and hosted various Erasmus+ projects in the Irpinia region, welcoming young people from various European countries, including Spain, Greece and Lithuania. Through cultural exchange programmes, outdoor activities, meetings with experts, workshops and opportunities for discussion, we have worked on key issues such as environmental sustainability, healthy lifestyles, non-formal education and the promotion of local identities. For us, every Erasmus+ project is much more than just an international exchange: it is an opportunity to forge links between peoples, raise the profile of Irpinia around the world and offer young people new prospects for personal and professional growth.
Today, we continue to invest in this endeavour, with the aim of strengthening the association’s European dimension, developing new international partnerships and offering young people in the region ever-greater opportunities for growth and exchange.

Literary Tea Party

The Literary Tea is a cultural project conceived by Federico Curci, a member of the association’s board, which was set up with the aim of creating a space for discussion and in-depth exploration in the heart of the city. Now in its third year, the project has featured seven events each year dedicated to topics of great interest: historical figures, literature, current affairs, culture, society and the local area. The events take place at L’Angolo delle Storie in Avellino, providing opportunities for genuine dialogue and active participation. For Info Irpinia, the Literary Tea Party serves as a permanent hub for culture and community, where knowledge becomes an opportunity for connection and shared growth.

Christmas hampers

The Info Irpinia Christmas hampers were created with a clear aim: to support the local supply chain and promote the region’s culinary and wine specialities. Every year, we select typical products from Irpinia, the result of the work of small local producers, to convey the authentic identity of our region through flavour. For us, flavour is not just about quality: it is about culture, tradition and promoting tourism. The hampers thus become a tangible way of supporting the local economy and showcasing Irpinia as a region rich in culinary excellence.

‘Emozioni d'Irpinia’ Calendar

The “Emozioni d’Irpinia” calendar is one of our association’s most iconic projects. Now in its thirteenth year, it is produced annually following a photography competition that brings together both amateurs and professionals, with the aim of showcasing the beauty of the region. Landscapes, villages, traditions, faces and details are captured in images that convey a sense of identity and belonging. The calendar is not merely a publication, but a genuine initiative to promote the region which, year after year, helps to convey an authentic and evocative image of Irpinia.
