Day 1 – My first encounter with high-altitude Aglianico
Arrival and check-in at accommodation in Alta Irpinia.
Trip to San Mango sul Calore, in the village of Poppano.
A tour of the winery, taking in the production areas and vineyards, followed by a wine lunch, to discover the heart of Irpinia’s Aglianico.
Time spent working in the vineyard and the winery.
Free evening.
Day 2 – Historic vineyards and timeless landscapes
We move on to Castelfranci, one of the regions most closely associated with high-altitude Aglianico.
A visit to a winery, including a guided tour of the cellar and the vineyards.
We move on to Montemarano, another prestigious wine-producing estate.
A country-style lunch accompanied by pure-bred Aglianico.
Farewells and the return journey.
