Medieval Umbria: Between the Charm of Spoleto, the Message of Assisi, and the Enchantment of Spello

An immersive educational journey that combines learning with the discovery of the local area.

This school trip proposal offers students total immersion in the artistic and spiritual heritage of Umbria. The stop in Spoleto allows them to admire spectacular monuments such as the Ponte delle Torri and the Cathedral—testaments to a history spanning from the Roman era to the Lombard Duchy.

The itinerary continues to Assisi, the city of peace, where the Basilica of Saint Francis serves as an ideal setting to study the genius of Giotto and Cimabue and reflect on the Franciscan message. The journey concludes in the village of Spello—known as the “capital of flowers”—where students can stroll through perfectly preserved medieval alleys and admire Pinturicchio’s frescoes in the Baglioni Chapel. It is a highly educational experience that combines art history, literature, and the landscape.
